Sessions are an opportunity not just to be seen and deeply validated, but also find our ability to slowly and methodically sink into our being. The way somatic work can support us, is through allowing us to make contact with very tender parts of ourselves, sensitive parts, that need the right tools and the right understanding to open and blossom. Using somatic tools, we can re-inhabit our bodies more fully, attune to our own self, and how it is moving and feeling, and begin to unwind from the inside out. Through being deeply seen, our conditioning and adaptations are found to be wise at their center, and containing the ability to support our expansion rather than contract us. It is a wild thing that what we perceive as causing our suffering is actually filled with such insight. It is also most important that we find sovereignty of feeling and movement individually and relationally, in order to truly be ourselves. This means understanding who and what we are in each moment in relationship to others and the world, and sensing into how we find our natural power and truth. Then we re-grow the roots we were meant to have, or rediscover them, already holding us steady.
